Mallorca has its own varierty of native tomato called tomàtiga ramallet. Rubbed with bread, it is used to prepare the traditional pa amb oli (bread with oil) and is a key ingredient of Majorcan cuisine.
This gastronomic exhibition is dedicated to the tomàtiga de ramallet with the participation of seven establishments of the village, each one with its own culinary proposal, such as cod with tomàtiga de ramallet sauce, loin with mushrooms and tomátiga juice, or the typical pa amb oli with cheese.
There will also be a contest to line up the tomatoes, threading a string up to fourteen meters, with prizes for the best and fastest ones.
