Winner of three Academy Awards and three Golden Globes, The Treasure of the Sierra Madre is an American film from 1948 written and directed by John Huston. It stars Humphrey Bogart, Walter Huston, Tim Holt and Bruce Bennett.
It is an adaptation of the novel by Berwick Traven, which Huston used to make a masterful treatise on greed and avarice of man with the gold rush in the background.
