This year marks the centenary of the birth of two renowned writers in Catalan: Salvador Espriu (Gerona, 1913-Barcelona, 1985) and Bartomeu Rosselló-Pòrcel (Palma de Mallorca, 1913-Barcelona, 1938).
Despite the untimely death of the Mallorcan (he died of tuberculosis), they both enjoyed a good friendship which is now included in the novel Dos amics de vint anys (Two friends of twenty years old) by the writer and literary critic Sebastià Alzamora.
