The program Afinidades electivas, from the Ministry of Culture, brings together the writer and teacher Míriam Cano and the writer and politician Xosé Maniel Beiras in a dialogue about their translations into Catalan and Galician, respectively, of the book Cartes a un amic alemany, by the writer born in Algeria and of Minorcan origin Albert Camus (1913-1960).
The first two Cartes a un amic alemany, addressed to an imaginary friend who becomes a Nazi, were published clandestinely in World War II; the remaining two were published after the liberation of France. The act will be presented by journalist Francesc M. Rotger.
