To mark the staging of Turandot, which opens on March 3 the XXVII Opera Season Teatre Principal, in the Sala Petita will be held this lecture-with the participation of some of the artists involved in the production.
Turandot is an opera in three acts by Giacomo Puccini (1858-1924) and libretto by Giuseppe Adami and Renato Simoni. On the death of Puccini the work was left unfinished and it was Franco Alfano who was commissioned to finish it, finally debuting in 1926 at La Scala in Milan. This production of the Teatre Principal de Palma has musical direction by José María Moreno and stage direction by Paul Lopez.
