CineCiutat and the Archive of Sound and Image from Mallorca dedicate this film series to the enigmatic Mallorcan artist Fortunio Bonanova, who was baritone, film and theater actor, producer and director.
His real name was José Luis Moll (1895-1969) and he left Mallorca in the twenties to persue a career riddled with successes. In Hollywood he triumphed in the forties and worked alongside stars such as Gloria Swanson, Anne Baxter and Orson Welles.
The cycle programs four films and will be presented on the first day by Professor Catalina Aguiló.
