‘Witness for the Prosecution’

American film from 1957directed by Billy Wilder and based on a play of the same name by British writer Agatha Christie. It stars Tyrone Power in the role of Leonard Vole, a man accused of murdering a wealthy widow. The only person who can testify on his behalf is his wife Christine (Marlene Dietrich), but she refuses to do so.

Witness for the Prosecution  closes the cycle Cinefilms organized by CineCiutat, composed of twelve classics of film history in original version with subtitles in Castilian.

After the screening of the film, in the 20:30 pm session, there will be a Cineforum with a symposium on the imperfections in the judicial system.
