Presentation of this essay by Sonsoles Hernández Barbosa, who will be accompanied by Francisca Lladó Pol and María Gomez Garrido, it represents an approach to the network of sensory correspondence in the Paris of the late nineteenth century, a period in which flourished the synesthesia (joint sensation).
At a time of extraordinary fascination for the senses, the Paris of the late nineteenth century witnessed the flowering of a phenomenon known as "synesthesia", literally "feeling together." Painters, musicians, poets, playwrights and even perfume creators, took to their disciplines specific qualities of artistic circles without intention to achieve, for example, a musical painting or music composed with words.
