The neighborhood of Son Ferriol in Palma, celebrates this weekend its great fair, now in its twenty-third edition. It has an agricultural, livestock and commercial character, and is accompanied by an extensive program of activities for everyone. The fair is organized by the association Ferriol indústria i comerç and has the support of the City Councel of Palma.
The XXIII Fira de Son Ferriol begins Saturday March 21 in the morning (10:30 am) with children's entertainment by the Club d'Esplai Xiroi. In the afternoon, from 16:00 pm activities will take place until the evening: exhibition by Academy Sport Body, ball of bot by dance school Sa Revetla (children and adults), combat of glosadors of Menorca and Mallorca, performance of the folk groups Casa de Aragón y Virgen de la Fuensanta-Casa Regional de Murcia, folk dancing by Sa Revetla of Sant Antoni and, finally, a popular verbena with a music session of Dj Txema Sánchez.
On Sunday 22 the activities begin at 8 am with the opening of the fair and exhibition of embroidery, painting, photography and restoration of furniture, exhibition of carriages and tools by Toni Miquel Vidal, the arts and crafts of the association Betlemistes de Mallorca and the exhibition and demonstration of modeling. In addition, there will be an exhibition of campers throughout the weekend in which the association of Balearic campers will participate.
Other activities on Sunday will be the concert of the Band S'Almudaina and horse exhibitions, sport dancing (by Marina Bordoy) and dance by the academy One Life. The finale of the fair will be put by a show of fireworks.
