XVI Fira de Tardor de Marratxí

Marratxí recovers its traditional autumn fair to show the culture, customs and the industrial and business network of this town. The setting is the square of the church of Sant Marcal and its surroundings which on Sunday November 2 become a great market to buy a wide variety of food products, crafts and items offered for sale by local companies  and  businesses.

The opening of the XVI Fira de Tardor de Marratxí will feature the plantada of the Gegants de Marratxí, who also participate in the reception of the authorities along with the caparrots (big heads) and xeremiers. The event includes the presentation of na Maria Enganxa (Caparrot) with dance of giants and the rest of the cabezudos (big heads), accompanied by xeremiers.

In addition to the stalls, the fair presents different samples: animals, traditional agriculture, a sample of ball de bot with the group Aires des Pla de Marratxí  and an exhibition of classic cars.

Children will be able to enjoy in a very special way, because they will have a transit playground , ponies, masks workshop by Natura Parc or the steam train put at the service of the fair by  Club Ferroviario Vaporista of Mallorca.

The program closes with a concert of classical music by the Quintet de Vent of the Music band of Marratxí in the church of Sant Marcal.
