From the convulsive current context, the project While the storm arrives by Mounir Fatmi (Tangier, Morocco, 1970) reflects on the elaboration of all those stories that have been submitting us for a long time, stories that have marked our past and condition our future.
Starting from a large central installation entitled Inside the Fire Circle 02, the artist poses an elaborate metaphor on the construction of history, on its conditioning factors, the interests that govern it and the manipulations that emanate from the dominant power, leaving some trace of Hope so that this society, between handcuffed, deranged and indolent, activates itself in the search for a change that is more necessary than ever.
In addition, it presents three new pieces that have been created specifically for the project (The Point of No Return, Before the Storm and Poems: The Missing Show) and two already known pieces: The Angel's Black Leg (2011) and History is Not Mine ( 2013).
