'War and Turpentine'

The Teatre Principal de Palma hosts the premiere in Spain of the last assembly of the Belgian company Needcompany, led since more than 30 years by Jan Lauwers. It is one of the most respected and applauded companies in the contemporary European scene, an international ensemble, multilingual and with innovative proposals.

The emotive War and Turpentine epic is based on the masterful novel Guerre et thérébenthine by Stefan Hertmans, which shows the fascination for the life of his grandparents during the Great War and makes use of some old notebooks that they gave him full of unexpected secrets.

A show that combines music, dance and theater represented by 11 performers from 7 different nationalities. With text and direction by Jan Lauwers, it has the monumental Viviane de Muynck, unforgettable in her starring role in Isabella's room (2004).

With the collaboration of Vincci Capital and the honorary Consulate of Belgium in the Balearic Islands. Show in English with subtitles in Catalan and Spanish.
