This proposal of the Festival Jazz Palma 2021 combines music and poetry in the same show. It is a concert-recital with a repertoire of original music based on poems by some of the members of las Sinsombrero, Spanish women artists linked to the Generation of 27.
Starting from poems by Rosa Chacen, Josefina de la Torre, Lucía Sánchez Saornil and Marina Romero, a musical dialogue is established using groove, electronic jazz and improvised music. In addition, there will be a tour of the sociocultural context and the biographical particularities of the chosen writers to build a living tribute to their courage and creative freedom.
Diana Palau (voice), Paco Weht (bass and composition), Gilles Estoppey (keyboards) and Carlos Falanga (drums and electronics) take part.
