The Mallorcan courtyards are one of the most important civil architectures in the Balearic capital, as the writer and journalist Miquel dels Sants Oliver pointed out in his poem Las casas senoriales de Palma. Today they are still one of the most valuable elements of manor houses, symbols of power and prestige.
In these guided tours, with official Mallorca Premium Tours accredited guides, we will discover some of the most emblematic courtyards of the city: its history, architecture and above all, the most curious stories of the owners of these houses.
Thanks to the documentation, we know that in Palma there were some five hundred patios. Unfortunately, today there are only about a hundred left, some of them are still private properties (which cannot be accessed), but many others have been converted into hotels, cafes or belong to public bodies.
During the tour the courtyards of: Can Savellà, Can Vivot, Cas Catlar del Llorer, Can Cera, Ca la Gran Cristiana, Can Ordines Almadrà, Can Bordils, Can Oms, Estudi General Lul·lià, Can Berga and Casal Solleric. It is not possible to access several of them, but the guides have photographs to be able to contemplate them.
