The passage of the nineteenth to the twentieth century in Vienna became a political as well as artistic event. The Austrian capital was the boiling center of modern architecture, non-figurative painting, twelve-tone music or psychoanalysis.
This concert aims to be a reflection of that time, with a program consisting of works as Lieder eines fahrenden Gesellen (Songs of a fellow traveler) by Gustav Mahler and, among others, elegant waltzes by Johan Strauss in versions of Arnold Schoenberg.
The concert of Fundació Studium Aureum is directed by Carles Ponseti and act as soloists Marcela Inguanzo (soprano), Waltraud Muncher (mezzo-soprano), Frédérique Sizaret (mezzo-soprano), Yolanda Riera (mezzo-soprano), Antonio Riera (tenor), Pau Bordes (bass) and Josep Miquel Ribot (low).
