Vertical plane Cinema: 'How much does your building weigh Mr. Foster?

This film series is held within the parallel activities that accompany the exhibition Towers and skyscrapers. From Babel to Dubai which can be seen at CaixaForum until 26 May

The fascination of cinema by vertical architecture has been repeated in many films since the dawn of this industry until today. The documentary How much does your building Weigh Mr. Foster? is a British and Spanish co-production of 2010 that describes the rise of one of the premier architects of the XXI century

The film captures the origins of Norman Foster and how his dreams and imagination have inspired works of the importance of the Beijing airport (the largest building in the world), the Millau Viaduct in France (the highest bridge in the world), or remodeling of the Reichstag in Berlin, among many others.

The Vertical plane Cinema cycle is coordinated by Fernando Lara, journalist and film writer and former director of the International Film Festival of Valladolid. The films are screened in original version with subtitles.
