Vasko Vassilev, 'Nocturnal in the full moon'

A very special concert organized by the Associació d'Amics de la Música de les Illes Balears (Aulos), which takes place at the Castell de Bellver in Palma and combines music and dance on a full moon night.

The virtuous Bulgarian violinist Vasko Vassilev (Sofia, 1970) takes part, accompanied on the piano by Miquel Estelrich. The dance will be represented by two stars of the Royal Ballet of London: Korean dancer Yuhui Choe, first soloist since 2008. and the American Nehemiah Kish, main dancer since 2010.

The program of Nocturno en la luna llena is composed of: Chacona de la Partita no. 2 BWV 100 (for solo violin), by Johann Sebastian Bach; Ave Maria, by Franz Schubert; Liebesleid, by Fritz Kreisler; Nocturno op. post in C sharp minor, by Frédéric Chopin / Nathan Milstein; Chopiniana: Prelude op. 28 no. 7 and Waltz in C sharp minor op. 64 no. 2, by Frédéric Chopin; Claire de lune, by Claude Debussy; Pas de deux de ballet The Swan Lake, by Piotr Tchaikovsky; O Canto do cisne negro, by H. Villa-Lobos; The death of the swan, by Camille Saint-Saëns; and Fantasy of the concert op. 25 on motives of the opera Carmen, by Pablo Sarasate.
