The Formentera-based flutist Úrsula Pomar has won the 2nd Young Talents Scholarship of the Paco de Lucía Mallorca Festival. This year the selection committee was made up of Bryan Adams, Al Di Meola, John McLaughlin and Estrella Morente.
Úrsula Pomar will perform flamenco songs in this special concert, accompanied by a flamenco guitarist and a percussionist who will play the flamenco cajon.
Thanks to the commitment and support of Grupo Piñero, this scholarship grants the opportunity to study in the prestigious Spain Summer Performance Program course at the Berklee School of Music in Valencia and perform in a special concert within the Festival.
The Paco de Lucía Mallorca Festival, Palma Flamenca has been held annually since 2022 in agreement with the Paco de Lucía Foundation and for its benefit. The funds raised are allocated to social and pedagogical innovation projects.
