It is an interesting proposal Romanian-born pianist Valentin Moldovan, a way to meet the particular vision that had two contemporary composers, Fredéric Chopin and Franz Liszt, than three different musical fomas: Nocturne, Ballad and Study. Chopin Vs Liszt.
For this plays three Nocturnes Op.9 by F. Chopin Nocturnes and 3 S.541 by F. Liszt; Ballade No.2 Op.38 by F. Chopin Ballade No.2 and S.171 by F. Liszt; and Etude Op.25 No.10 of F. Chopin Etude 'La Campanella' by F. Liszt.
Born in 1987 in Tirgu- Mures ( Transylvania ), Valentin Moldovan emigrated with his family to Mallorca in 1992. He has music in his genes - his father is a conductor and also pianist - clarinetist and at age 9 he offered his first concert at school. He was trained at the professional Conservatory of Music and Dance in Palma , where he made his first debut as a soloist , and at the Superior Conservatory of Music of the Balearic Islands.
In his still short but explosive career, Moldovan has received thirty prizes in competitions and has recently started developing his side as composer. His Nocturne No. 1 was broadcast by RTVE.
