In 2022 the first centenary of the birth of the painter Gaspar Riera will be celebrated, and Nits Culturals organizes this meeting in Sa Mina de Lloseta. It is a conference lasting almost an hour by his son, Miquel Àngel Riera, with a lot of graphic documentation and the accompaniment of around ten paintings.
Throughout his pictorial career, Gaspar Riera (Estellencs, 1922-Palma, 1993) went through different artistic stages, from the apprenticeship stage to landscaping, naive classicism and an experimental phase at the end of his life.
His work is characterized by a wide color palette, by simplification and balance.
