'Tosca nostra'

The company Diabolus in Musica premieres its new production Tosca nostra, a very 'Mallorcan' version of the exceptional Puccini opera.

With artistic direction by Pablo López (who also plays Scarpia), the cast is formed by Yosra Zekri (Tosca), Antoni Lliteres (Cavaradossi) and Joan Miquel Muñoz (Angelotti / Sagrestano), with Jesús López on piano. Lighting and audiovisual design by Tonina Matamalas.

Tosca Nostra is the third production of Diabolus in Musica (the previous ones were Operàmida and Música MaGestro), but the first for adult audiences. Their assemblies, as they themselves declare, look for those spectators who have not yet been inoculated with the 'poison' of  opera.

Tosca is a opera in three acts by Giacomo Puccini, libretto by Giuseppe Giacosa and Luigi Illica, premiered with great success in Rome in January 1900. The text of the play is based on a homonymous drama written by Frenchman Victorien Sardou set in Rome occupied by Napoleon's troops.
