his young orchestra is inspired by the vision of two great pioneers: Sir Robert Mayer (1879-1985), German philanthropist who in the 20's began promoting concerts for young classical musicians and the conductor and composer Igor Markievich, who by the end of the Second World War set up the first international orchestras as a symbol of hope for the future.
Since 2004 The World Orchestra is directed by Josep Vicent, who has revived the project offering concerts of his young musicians in places such as the Berlin Philharmonic, the Vienna Konzerthaus, the Orford Festival or the Muziekgebouw in Amsterdam, among others. In 2009, the orchestra and its director were appointed Cultural Ambassadors of the Foundation Culture of Peace headed by Federico Mayor Zaragoza.
This concert program consists of Symphony no. 6 in F Major 'Pastoral', in L. Van Beethoven, and Symphony no. 6 in B minor, 'Pathetique', in P. I. Tchaikovsky.
