This work of Hector Berlioz (France, 1803-1869) and French libretto same composer, based on the books I, II and IV of Virgil's Aeneid, will be offered recorded. Its author never saw it interpreted complete. With the title The Trojans at Carthage, the last three acts were represented in Paris in November 1863, six years before the composer's death. It's a piece rarely represented according to statistics from the Opera base, in which it appears on number 263.
