'The Song of the Sibyl'

In 2010 , UNESCO declared The chant of the Sybil  Intangible Heritage of Humanity. This song, whose origins lie in France around 1000, was well established in the Middle Ages in cathedrals and convents of southern Europe and was subject to successive modernizations, until its ban by the Council of Trent in 1563.

However, in Mallorca and Alghero, a town of Sardinia, the tradition has remained to this day, celebrating the representation each December 24 in their temples.

CaixaForum organizes this series of lectures on The Song of the Sibyl by experts to learn more about this valuable cultural heritage.
