The motet is a polyphonic composition created in the twelfth century to be sung in churches with generally biblical text. Great composers have dedicated part of their production to it as German Felix Mendelssohn (1809-1847), to which this program that closes the 2014-2015 Concert Season of the Foundation is dedicated Studium Aureum.
Perform works for soloists and choir a capella. Soloists: Marcela Inguanzo (soprano), Waltraud Mucher (mezzosoprano), Toni Aragón( tenor) and Josep Ribot Cabrer (bass).
Half an hour before the concert, the composer Mercè Pons will give a talk about the works and life of of both composers.
