The Nutcracker is a fairy tale-ballet in two acts and three scenes of Russian composer Peter Ilyich Tchaikovsky (1840-1893), who put music to the adaptation that Alexander Dumas (the father) did the story The Nutcracker and the Mouse King , Ernest Hoffmann.
The show that is now presented within the IV Season of Ballet is a production of the Teatre Principal de Palma, with direction and choreography by Laura Macias and Gavin de Paor. They act as guest stars Michael Revie, the South African Ballet Joburg, and Ryoko Yagyu, the National Ballet of Ireland.
