This quartet was formed Majorca last May, although its components have a long career in the field of jazz, blues and classic rock. The Moonlight Drivers were created as a tribute to The Doors, the legendary Californian rock band led by Jim Morrison who was one of the greatest exponents of the psychedelic sixties.
Their repertoire are the classic themes of the discography of The Doors, even the name is taken from one of their songs, moonlight Drive, the poem Morrison showed Ray Manzarek giving origin to the creation of the quartet.
The Moonlight Drivers are formed by the musicians Jaume 'Trotsky' Crespi (drums), Emili Gener (organ, bass), Agustí Serra (guitar, vocals) and Toni Soler (vocals, harmonica and tribal instruments).
