It is one of the best tribute bands to the quartet that revolutionized music in the sixties, in the words of John Lennon’s own sister, Julia Baird. Like the original, the Mersey Beatles come from Liverpool, where in 1999 started they playing the greatest hits of the band.
Since 2002 they have done this regularly in the mythical venue The Cavern Club, where the Beatles were introduced. Mersey Beatles consist of Steven Howard, David Howard, Mark Bloor and Brian Ambrose.
