'The lion in winter'

The Balearic Association  Amigos de las Bandas Sonoras (ABABS) (Friends of the Sound tracks)  organizes the 7th Memorial John Barry with the screening of this 1968 English film directed by Anthony Harvey, script by James Goldman and music by John Barry.

The Lion in Winter has a luxury cast, led by Peter O'Toole, Katharine Hepburn, Anthony Hopkins, John Castle and Timothy Dalton. The story is set at Christmas 1183, when Elionor of Aquitaine, after years in prison by order of her husband Henry II, King of England, meets at Chinon Castle (France) to decide which of her three children will be successor to the throne.
