The Funamviolistas

A truly innovative proposal that has broken ground in the musical field since its release in February 2013 at the Paco Rabal Cultural Center of Madrid. Ana Hernandez Ramos (violin), Mayte Olmedilla (viola) and Lila Horovitz (bass) form The Funamviolistas, a company that was created thanks to crowdfunding and has achieved, with one show, the favor of specialized critics and public enthusiasm. Now they come to Mallorca at X Cool Days Festival of Artà.

In this short space of time they have also managed to win the Madrid 2013 Talent Award for Best Musical Show, the Award for Best Espectáculo de Sala at the XVI Theatre Fair of Castilla y Leon and the Max Award for Best Show 2014 Revelation.

The show is directed by Rafael Ruiz and is an original combination of music, dance, song, humor and theatrical gesture, without the use of words. Three women with a truncated present meet casually in a square. This encounter will make them change and build a new life together, with its joys, missunderstandings, dreams and hopes.

An endearing story told by the three interpreters and a soundtrack composed by works of Antonio Vivaldi, Edward Grieg, Jules Massenet, Georges Bizet, Astor Piazzolla, Rita Pavone ,classical jazz and Argentine tango.

The Funamviolistas also act on Saturday 19 September in Auditori d'Alcúdia within Alcúdia Jazz Festival.
