Oxford is known as The City of Dreaming Spires and hence the name of this band created by brothers Robin and Joe Bennett in Oxford, as could not have been otherwise.
The Dreaming Spires are musically influenced by the tradition of American rock and their first album, Brothers in Brooklyn (2012), was inspired by the legendary artists of the genre such as Neil Young, The Band and Tom Petty. In Searching for the Supertruth (2015 Clubhouse), their second album, they feature new sounds that are more pop with references to REM, Big Star and a certain return to the shoegaze sound of their first band, Goldrush.
The evening is completed by the performance of the Mallorcan group Los Chicos de John Deere, presenting their third EP Marti, no vale la pena, a work that revives the particular universe of psychedelic pop-rock of the sixties (Kinks, Los Salvajes).
