Born in Corrientes in 1947, Teresa Parodi belongs to a generation of singers-songwriters involved in the social and political processes of Argentina. The Astor Piazzolla Quintet had her as a soloist and artists like Mercedes Sosa have included some of her most beautiful songs in their repertoire.
The National Festival Cosquín consecrated her in 1984 and she has since won important awards: Platinum Konex for the best author / composer of the nineties, the Golden Carmine for her artistic career, the Gardel 2004, and among others, Grand National Prize of Arts and Sciences in 2011. She currently heads the Cultural Space of Nuestros Hijos de las Madres de Plaza de Mayo (Our Children of the Mothers of Plaza de Mayo).
Accompanied by her guitar, Teresa Parodi reaches the Jazz Voyeur Club with the concert Contares y Cantares, in which she reviews the heart of the Latin American songbook.
