'Tancats' by Pere Lorente

The title of the exhibition, Tancats  (Closed) refers to the characters in this collection of portraits, the result of the experience of the Mallorcan artist with the prisoners of the jail where he has taught for a few months.

Pere Lorente has left his usual way to progress by extracting the most characteristic features of the prisoners, converting those defects that have led them to live behind bars, through art, into virtues and flee the grey atmosphere of prison. Come out and embellish with the immortality of the work.
