The CCA organizes this summer the program of workshops Kids and Art, a fun, educational and participatory way to bring children and young people (between 3 and 18 years) closer to the art world. They are held on Saturdays mornings and start with a guided tour of the current exhibitions that are related to the discipline of the workshop.
In this case, the masks workshop will visit the exhibition Homage to Dennis Oppenheim (1938-2011), which runs through the work of one of the most influential figures in contemporary art, pioneer of land art in the late sixties. One of his famous inverted churches, titled Device to Root out Evil, shown in Plaça Porta Santa Catalina de Palma.
After visiting the exhibition will start the workshop of masks , made from plaster and for which each student will take as mold his own face. Finally, they will paint them and they can take them home upon completion.
The workshops are done in Castilian, Catalan, English and German.
