The titular conductor of the Orquestra Simfònica Illes Balears, Pablo Mielgo, directs the ninth concert of the 2018-2019 season, in which Acadèmia Simfònica also participates.
The program is entirely dedicated to the Symphony No. 9 of Gustav Mahler, the last symphony written by the Austrian composer before his death in 1911, premiered posthumously in 1912 by the Orquesta Filarmónica de Vienna under the direction of Bruno Walter.
