Work composed by Welshman Karl Jenkins and released in 2008 at the Liverpool Cathedral. The original work of the thirteenth century, is attributed to the Franciscan Jocopo da Todi, and explains the suffering of Mary and Mary Magdalene at the time of the crucifixion of Jesus. Karl Jenkins added to the original Latin text ethnic and oriental singing styles.
This production of the Cultural Association Aprilis is a multidisciplinary show directed by Rodrigo Hamu and choreographed by Bettina Trufatt. Intervening will be the Coral Filarmonía, the Camerata Pollencina, the Coral Group 7/17 and three soloists of the Aprilis Chamber Orchestra.
