La Fundación Barceló presents this exhibition organized by the Sorolla Museum and the Sorolla Museum Foundation. Sorolla en su paraíso (Sorolla in his paradise) shows the close relationship that existed between Joaquín Sorolla (1863-1923) and photography, one of his great passions.
The Valencian painter was always the target of photographers, from the masters of his time like Antonio García (who became his father-in-law when he married his daughter Clotilde García), Christina Franzen or the Mallorcan Guillem Bestard, to some of the great American photographers like Sebastian Cruset or Williams M. Hollinger, with whom he maintained a close relationship after his 1909 exhibitions.
