The estate of Son Real, located in the Bay of Alcúdia, is an archaeological and scenic treasure trove, an open book on Mallorcan prehistory. For unknown reasons, a large burial area was concentrated there, dedicated to an aristocratic or dominant class, perhaps the kings of Mallorca from three thousand years ago. The added attraction is that the landscape has hardly been changed. Ruins and nature make a dialogue full of mystery and suggestions.
The itinerary will allow us to discover the evidence of the great talayotic settlement, and subsequent medieval building. Going along the pathway through the great pine forest we will reach other prehistoric remains such as the megalithic tomb or the burial cave opposite the Illot des Porros.
Going along the coast takes us to the impressive array of Punta Fenicis. A prestigious necropolis built by the seaside. In this place will be evoked the symbolism and history of a culture that left such a perennial imprint there.
It is in short a journey to the distant past, towards the landscape and the myths of prehistory.
