The Tangram Institute, a non-profit association, is organizing this workshop held by the actor, director and multiplier of the theater of the oppressed Antonio Masegosa.
The social drama is based on the idea of the Theatre of the Oppressed created by Brazilian playwright Augusto Boal (1931-2009), nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize in 2008. It emerged in Brazil in the sixties during the dictatorship, when the theater was prohibited as a means of expression.
The social drama is seen as a powerful tool for reflection, discussion and resolution of social problems and personal concerns. The goal is to transform the viewer into the action hero and help resolve real conflicts.
