The Church of Deià will once more be the setting for music in summer with this concert by Waltraud Mücher (vocals) and Guillermo Femenías (vihuela).
The vihuela is a stringed instrument, like a guitar, was very popular in Spain and Portugal, and to a lesser extent in Italy, during the sixteenth century.
They offer a repertoire of Spanish Renaissance music with works by Diego Pisador, Alonso Mudarra, Miguel de Fuenllana, Esteban Daza, Luis de Narváez, Enríquez de Valderrábano, Joan Ambrosio Dalza and Luis Milán.
