Seunghyun Lee

The Korean pianist Seunghyun Lee (1994) participates in the Deià International Music Festival 2023 with two concerts on August 23 and 25 that are staged by Son Marroig and Sa Bassa Rotja.

From a very young age, Seunghyun Lee participates in prestigious international competitions, winning such important prizes as the 1st Dong-A Music Competition Prize (Korea, 2013), 3rd Prize & Audience Prize, Concours International de Piano d'Epinal (France, 2015), 1st Prize, Neue Sterne International Piano Competition (Germany, 2018) and 3rd Prize Seoul Competition (Korea, 2020).

Piano Sonata No. 2 op. 35 in B minor, by Frédéric Chopin

Sonata no. 8 op. 84 in B flat major, by Sergei Prokofiev

The XLV Deià International Music Festival is held from June 2 to September 29 with concerts at its various venues: Son Marroig (Deià), Sineu, Sa Bassa Rotja (Porreres) and Palau March (Palma). This year also the Graves Foundation in Deià, Centre Cultural de Jesús en Santa Eulàlia de Ibiza and the Casa del Poble de La Mola in Formentera. The pianist Alfredo Oyágüez Montero is its artistic director.
