Setmana de la Cultura Popular 2018

The Regidoria de Cultura, Patromoni, Memòria Històrica i Política Lingüística of the City Council of Palma organizes this week of popular and traditional culture that is celebrated from November 6 to 11 with an activities program where music is the protagonist.

Music: La terra parla. Homenatge a Marusa Cano. With the participation of: Marusa Cano, Raphel Pherrer, Eugeni Canyelles and Toni Miranda (Sis Som), Antonia Rubio (Aliorna), Miquela Lladó, Pep Toni Rubio, Toni Pastor, Bernat Cabot, Jimi Torres, Pep Balaguer and Jaume Roig ( Nostra Music), Pilar Reiona López (Xaloc Music), Marta Elka (Xaloc Music and Posidonia) and Escola de Musica i Danses de Mallorca. Teatre Municipal Xesc Forteza: Plaça de Miquel Maura
Music: Kepa Junkera. The Basque musician, one of the most international for renovating the trikitixa (diatonic accordion) presents Fok, his immersion in the popular music of the Catalan-speaking territories. More than 200 musicians from Catalonia, País Valencià, Illes Balears and Alguer have collaborated in the project in a personal tribute to the music made in this part of the world
