The space The Envelope, of gallery L 21, hosts this solo exhibition by Canadian artist Michael Swaney (1978). His work moves between archeology and anthropology, and the result is a reflection of contemporary society.
In Sculptures & Groceries he presents a series of sculptures produced in ceramics, which he has left to air dry and after that painted with oil and then varnished. Thus, he achieves that the pieces shine and have a finish that imitates porcelain. As a base he uses food boxes, making the viewer feel close to the work.
