'Schubertiada'

Concert of soloists, string and piano within the 2015/2016 season of the Fundació Studium Aureum directed by Carles Ponseti. and dedicated to the works of Franz Schubert (1797-1828). Schubertiada was the name given to Franz Schubert (1797-1828) Viennese soirees organized to raise awareness of his friends his new works, often songs.

The program for this concert include Impromtu D 935, no. 3 (for piano), Mailied D 202 (choral), Der Tanz D 826 (for choir and piano), Moment Musical D 780, no. 3 (for piano), An die Sonne D 439 (for choir and piano), Impromtu D 935, no. 2 (for piano), Lied eines Schiffers an die Dioskuren D 360 (for tenor and piano), Im Gegenwärtigen Vergangenes D 710 (for tenor, male chorus and piano), Des Tages Weihe D 763 (for choir and piano), Ständchen D 921 (for mezzo, female choir and piano), Nachtviolen D 752 (for mezzo and piano), Trio D 898 Andante con moto (for violin, cello and piano), Nachtstück D 672 (for tenor and piano), Trio D 929 Andante some mosso (for violin, cello and piano), Die Geselligkeit D 609 (for choir and piano).

Involved as soloists Frédérique Sizaret (mezzo), Antonio Aragón (tenor), Ramon Andreu (violin), Dmitry Struchkov (cello) and Andreu Riera (piano). The choir is made up of: Rosana Delgado, Barbara Femenies, M Antonia Riutort, M Jose Campaner, Do-in Peleteiro and Francesca M Salas (soprano); Amelia Forteza, Joana Furio, Petra Genestra, Margalida M Riutort, M de Gràcia Salas y Montserrat Sobrevias (alto); Sergi Gil, Guillem Nicolau, Detlef Reshoft and Joan Serra (tenors); and Joan Brunet, Guillem Cortes, Llorenç Melia, Jose Gabriel Serrano, Joan Carles Simó and Santiago Torresquesana (low).

Half an hour before the concert, composer Mercè Pons will give a talk on the life and works of the Austrian composer, considered the introducer of musical romanticism.
