This formation was created in the summer of 2011, under the name Saxophobia Quartet but after several live concerts this saxophone quartet decided to incorporate other instruments to experience new horizons: electric guitar, drums and bass. Thus was born the Saxophobia Funk Project. They have released a first album, On air.
They are: Cristian Sorribas (alto sax), Alberto Moreno (tenor sax), Miquel Marquet (drums), Juan Monserrat (electric guitar), Toni Mora (keyboards) and Luis Bayon (bass).
Their style is a kind of jazz heavily influenced by funk, with covers of classics like Duke Elligton or Maceo Parker, among others.
