Satoko Fujii Ensemble

Japanese pianist Satoko Fujii is today one of the most prolific composers of the avant-garde jazz scene. In her universe live together jazz, avanti-rock and folklore of her country, which she develops in many different formats and contexts.

In Sa Pobla she is presented with her ensemble, in which also form part Natsuki Tamura (trumpet), Lilli Santon (vocals), Toni Mianda (guitar) and Jimmy Weinstein (drums).

This year the concerts scheduled within the18 Festival Mallorca Jazz Sa Pobla are still for free, although a donation of 3 euros will be collected. A portion of this amount will go to the association Down i més to develop a music therapy project aimed at children with syndrome of Down, in collaboration with the Fundación Arizonia.
