It is the Patron Saint of Petra since a very long time, even before the origin of this festival in the 16th century. It begins two week before the day of the saint (July 21), and lasts until the subsequent Sunday. Bicycle races, traditional dances, and musical performances are organized.
The eve of the Patron Saint, the authorities leave the town hall accompanied by the music band, dancing demons and the citizens that carry flares. The following day, the festival ends with great fireworks. Program.
