Manacor is ready to light the fire of its biggest fiesta, Sant Antoni, where all the people, from children to the grandmothers, have a role. This year, the poster of the festivities represents the image of Sant Antoni Abad of the parish of Mare de Déu dels Dolors, a figure that in the 18th century the peasants and residents of Manacor worshiped and asked for protection for the animals.
These fiestas are organized by the Patronat de Sant Antoni and begin on January 4. As of this day, the activities in the program continue until January 17, when the blessings of the animals are celebrated.
Sant Antoni is also celebrated in Porto Cristo, Son Macià, S'Illot, Cales de mallorca and Son Negre. Check the program.
