Salvador Sobral and Marco Mezquida, two leading figures on the music scene, as well as friends, premiered Cosa de dois at the Teatre Grec in Barcelona in July 2022. The second concert of this unexpected duo was in December in Lisbon, at the CCB in Belén , and now they perform at the Església de Sant Antoni Abat in Sa Pobla.
The Portuguese singer Salvador Sobral jumped to the international level in 2017 by winning the Eurovision Song Contest. His career is linked to a vision of jazz that connects this genre with bossa nova and Latin sounds.
For his part, the Menorcan pianist Marco Mezquida has been a jazz revelation of the last decade. He has played with stars like Carme Canela, Perico Sambeat, Gorka Benítez, Javier Colina or Silvia Pérez Cruz, with whom he has a joint work.
