Rosendo in concert

This guy from Madrid, guitarist, singer and composer, is one of the most worthy representatives of Spanish rock. Born in 1954 in the district of Carabanchel, where he still lives, and at 18 became a guitarist in the group Fresa, which later would be called Ñu.

In 1977 Rosendo left the band to create Leño, where in addition to the guitar he put the voice. A hoarse voice, ripped and powerful, which is perhaps, his most distinguishing mark. This quintet recorded titles as Más madera (1980) and ¡Corre,corre! (1982), which was the last official album of Leño.

The author of Maneras de vivir (Ways of living), a theme that has become an anthem of Spanish rock and roll, debuted as a soloist with Loco por incordiar (1985). Since then he has published fourteen studio albums, and received the 2006 Gold Medal for Merit in Fine Arts.

His latest album is presented under the title A veces cuesta llegar al estribillo (2010), a work in which Rosendo stays true to himself with committed, intelligent and critical lyrics. In one of them, Rompe la Cadena (Break the chain), he has enjoyed the cooperation of his son Rodrigo.
